I am an award-winning teacher, Educator of the Year, and a lifetime member of Who’s Who in American Education.

The extensive research I have done on Gender has received international recognition and led to me being appointed the Fulbright Distinguished Chair of the Gender and Women Studies Program at Alpen-Adrian University in Austria. My writings and research on Race and Gender also resulted in becoming the first male speaker to give the Martin Luther King Jr. keynote address at Chatham University, at that time an all-women’s college. I am a member of Mediators Beyond Borders International a Global Peace Building Training Institute, a co-founder of the Conflict and Resolutions Studies Program at Washington and Jefferson College, and have worked extensively with TIDES Training and Consultancy in Belfast, Northern Ireland dedicated to Conflict Management, Community Relations, and Mediation Training. Recently I lectured at the Latin American Studies Cultural Center in Pittsburgh on "Haiti: Culture, Religion, and Revolution" to a group of visiting Ukrainian dignitaries.

Writing, teaching, and research has taken me to three continents searching for connections and shared history, common links among people others have ignored or dismissed. I have lectured at Oxford University, Harvard University, and Carnegie Mellon University, at conferences from Romania to Scotland, in podcasts, and hundreds of radio and television interviews across the United States.

My decade long research on Revolutions, Race, and Gender have taken me to countless libraries and museums throughout France, England, Spain, Portugal, Brazil, Ireland, the United States, the Caribbean, and Africa. Hundreds of interviews were done with scholars, teachers, librarians, docents, current and deposed royals, and taxi drivers - a great resource on local history not traditionally found in museums or books.
